The Central region covers the geographical area from the Gulf and the Border on the North/West to Moranbah, Dysart, Middlemount, Blackwater & Springsure on the South/East side. This is a 1400km distance between the 2 churches on the western & eastern borders of our region. There are 15 churches in our region with 3 areas. The north west side is mostly mining and cattle. The centre of the region is mostly sheep and cattle with no mining, and the eastern side is mostly mining with some agriculture and farming in some towns also. Our Pastors and leaders all have a strong sense of call and commitment, and work hard to be a blessing to the local communities God has called them to. As a result we enjoy very high levels of respect and kudos, and some unique opportunities not only within the local church but also outside the church as well. Whilst we are affected by drought, floods and economic downturn or upturn in mining, agriculture, and the sheep and cattle industries, we thank God that he is able and has proved faithful in building strong leaders and strong churches within our region. Living in outback Queensland is one of the greatest adventures anyone can have, and the pastors and leaders of the region count it an honour and a privilege to be serving God and people in the outback places of Queensland. We have great expectations and faith for what God has in store for us in the future.
