Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown to research to be effective.

Included in the course:

• 12 hrs of standard mental health first aid training
• Participants receive a mental health first aid accreditation valid for 3 years
• Course topics cover: depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use problems, suicide, and other mental health crisis
• Participants receive a copy of the standard mental health first aid manual

Date: 16th & 17th Feb 2023 

Time: 9am – 4:30pm daily

Location: Townsville (exact location TBA)

Cost: $150 for credentialed pastors and accredited chaplains, $250 for non-accredited participants
